Full-time Security Analyst

Job title : Security Analyst

Specific Duties:

-Works with system end users to determine application requirements.

-Records system requirements through a series of formal documents that describe operational attributes and discrete system modules. System design efforts may include development of database structures required to support application operations.

-Prepares written test plans to simulate system behavior in a variety of operational and technical environments.

-Conducts unit and system testing to detect system deficiencies, and records test results within an automated defect tracking system.

-Generates and performs QA checks on system documentation (Users Manuals, Training Manuals, system orientation briefings, etc.) used to convey system capabilities to end users.

-Coordinates efforts of other team members to ensure task completion within scheduled time limits.

-Supports product briefings and demonstrations as necessary to support customer and internal corporate requirements.

-Generates system interface specifications for automated data exchange between distributed system sites or with external applications.

-Conduct research and document findings relating to future development alternatives and enhanced system features.

-Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirement and Years of Experience:

-A BA/BS Degree in a related field is required for this position, however, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of this education requirement. This position requires a minimum of five years of experience.

Additional Requirements:

-Ample experience in technical document preparation to include: SDD, IDD, SRS, RTM, Test Cases, etc.

-Ability to apply formal procedures through all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

-Knowledge of system design techniques, including database design, functional specifications, testing procedures/documentation, etc.

-Good interpersonal skills.

-Ability to plan and prioritize work.

-Ability to express ideas orally.

-Ability to support system presentations, training and implementation evolutions, and on-going system maintenance cycles in the user*s environment.

-U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

-Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense issued Active SECRET security clearance to begin work.

Preferred:

-Knowledge of DoD Force Deployment Planning & Execution Process is highly desired.
